Vicks DayQuil Severe is a non-drowsy daytime multi-symptom cold and flu liquid, 12 fl oz (354 mL), labeled alcohol-free.
Active ingredients per 30 mL adult dose
Acetaminophen 650 mg: pain reliever and fever reducer.
Dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg: cough suppressant.
Guaifenesin 400 mg: expectorant.
Phenylephrine HCl 10 mg: nasal decongestant.
Directions
Use only the supplied dose cup; do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
Adults and children 12 years and older: 30 mL every 4 hours.
Children 6 to under 12: 15 mL every 4 hours. Children 4 to under 6: ask a doctor. Children under 4: do not use.
Warnings
Contains acetaminophen. Do not combine with another acetaminophen-containing drug. Taking more than directed can cause severe liver damage.
Do not use with an MAOI or within 2 weeks after stopping one.
Ask a doctor before use with liver or heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, urination problems, chronic cough or excessive phlegm. Ask a doctor or pharmacist if taking warfarin.
Stop and seek advice if fever lasts over 3 days, symptoms worsen, or pain, congestion or cough lasts over 7 days in adults or 5 days in children.
