Each gelcap contains acetaminophen 500 mg. Rapid Release Gels are gel-coated caplets, not liquid-filled ibuprofen capsules.

Uses

Temporarily relieves minor headaches, muscle aches, backaches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, common-cold pain and minor arthritis pain, and reduces fever.

How to use

Adults and children ages 12 and older: take two gelcaps every six hours while symptoms last. Do not exceed six gelcaps in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor. Do not use for more than 10 days without medical advice. For children under 12, ask a doctor.

Important safety information

Do not take alongside another acetaminophen-containing product. Too much acetaminophen, liver disease or three or more alcoholic drinks daily can increase the risk of severe liver damage. Ask a doctor about liver disease and a doctor or pharmacist about warfarin. Stop and seek help for a severe skin or allergic reaction.

Common question

Does the gel coating allow an extra dose?

No. The formulation does not change the daily limit or six-hour dosing interval. Consult a doctor if pain worsens or lasts over 10 days, or fever over three days. Seek immediate help after an overdose even without symptoms.
