Robitussin Cough + Chest Congestion DM liquid combines a cough suppressant and an expectorant in an 8 fl oz bottle for adults and children 12 years and older.
Two-ingredient relief
Each 20 mL contains dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg to reduce cough and guaifenesin 200 mg to loosen mucus. It targets cough and chest congestion associated with a cold; it does not contain a fever reducer.
Directions
Take 20 mL every 4 hours as needed, using only the supplied dosing cup. Do not take more than 6 doses in 24 hours. Do not use this adult product in children under 12.
Before use
Do not use with an MAOI or within 2 weeks of stopping one. Ask a doctor about persistent cough, asthma, smoking-related cough or excessive mucus. Avoid duplicating dextromethorphan or guaifenesin in other cold medicines. Seek advice for cough lasting over 7 days, recurring cough, fever, rash or persistent headache. Ask before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
