Refresh Classic is a preservative-free lubricant eye drop in single-use vials. Its polyvinyl alcohol and povidone formula differs from Refresh Plus and Optive.

Active ingredients: Polyvinyl alcohol 1.4% and povidone 0.6%.

What it is used for

Temporarily relieves burning, irritation, and discomfort associated with eye dryness and helps protect against further irritation.

How to use

Twist and pull off the tab, place one or two drops in the affected eye or eyes as needed, and discard the vial after use.

Before use

For external use only. Keep the container tip clean and avoid touching it to any surface. Do not reuse an opened vial. Use only intact containers and do not use drops that have changed color or become cloudy. Stop and ask a doctor for eye pain, vision changes, ongoing redness or irritation, worsening symptoms, or symptoms lasting over 72 hours.

Are all preservative-free Refresh drops the same formula?

No. Classic uses polyvinyl alcohol and povidone; other Refresh products use different lubricants. Compare the active ingredients and pack type, rather than relying only on the brand name.
