Product details
Product and pack: NEOSPORIN + Pain + Itch + Scar Antibiotic Ointment, 1 oz.
Active ingredients: Bacitracin zinc, neomycin sulfate, polymyxin B sulfate, and pramoxine hydrochloride 1%. Pramoxine is the added pain-relieving ingredient.
What it is used for
Helps prevent infection and temporarily relieves pain or discomfort from minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.
How to use
Adults and children age 2 and older: clean the area and apply a fingertip-sized small amount one to three times daily. You may cover it with a sterile bandage. For children under 2, ask a doctor.
Before use
For external use only. Avoid eyes and large areas; do not use if allergic to any ingredient. Deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, and serious burns need medical advice. Stop for rash, an allergic reaction, worsening or persistent symptoms, or treatment needed longer than one week.
Is this interchangeable with Neosporin Original?
The formulas differ. This version adds pramoxine; Original does not. The Pain + Itch + Scar name does not mean that existing scars will be removed.
