Monistat 7 contains miconazole nitrate 2% to treat vaginal yeast infections and related external itching. Includes a 45 g tube and 7 disposable applicators.

Directions

• Ages 12+: insert one applicatorful vaginally at bedtime for 7 consecutive nights; discard each applicator.
• For associated external itching, apply a small amount from the same tube to the affected outside skin twice daily, as needed, for up to 7 days.
• Under 12: ask a doctor.

Before treatment

Do not self-treat without a previously doctor-diagnosed yeast infection. Seek advice for first-time symptoms, frequent infections, HIV exposure, pain, fever, nausea or foul-smelling discharge. Ask before use during pregnancy, breastfeeding or warfarin treatment.

During treatment

Avoid vaginal intercourse, tampons, douches, spermicides and other vaginal products. The cream can damage condoms and diaphragms. Mild burning or irritation may occur.

When to seek help
