Coltalin Cold & Flu tablets provide multi-symptom relief in a 36-count pack. Each tablet contains acetaminophen 325 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg and phenylephrine HCl 5 mg.
Ingredient roles
Acetaminophen relieves pain and fever; chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine for runny nose, sneezing and related allergy symptoms. Phenylephrine is labeled as a nasal decongestant. This aspirin-free formula can cause drowsiness.
Directions
Follow the Drug Facts on this box because label versions may differ. The current NDC 51467-005 manufacturer label directs ages 12 and older to take 2 tablets every 4 hours, maximum 12 tablets in 24 hours. Use the received age chart for younger children and consult a doctor below its allowed age.
Before use
Do not combine with other acetaminophen medicines or use with an MAOI or within 2 weeks after stopping one. Avoid alcohol and sedatives; use caution driving. Ask about liver disease, high blood pressure, glaucoma, urinary difficulty or warfarin. Seek advice for fever lasting over 3 days or persistent symptoms.
