Tylenol Cold + Flu Severe Day/Night, 24 caplets
Contains 16 daytime and 8 nighttime caplets for temporary relief of labeled cold/flu symptoms, not treatment of viral influenza.
Active ingredients per caplet
Both: acetaminophen 325 mg, dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg and phenylephrine HCl 5 mg. Day adds guaifenesin 200 mg; Night adds chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg and may cause marked drowsiness.
Directions
Adults and children 12 and older: 2 caplets every 4 hours. Swallow whole; do not crush, chew or dissolve. Do not take Day and Night together. Maximum 10 caplets total in 24 hours, not 10 of each. Under 12: ask a doctor.
Warnings
Do not combine with other acetaminophen medicines or use during MAOI treatment or within 2 weeks of stopping it. Do not use if allergic to any ingredient. Excess dosing risks serious liver damage. Avoid alcohol; use caution driving after Night.
Ask before use about liver, heart or thyroid disease, hypertension, diabetes, urinary problems, chronic or phlegmy cough, and warfarin. For Night also ask about glaucoma, breathing problems, sedatives or tranquilizers.
Stop and ask a doctor for worsening or persistent symptoms: pain, congestion or cough over 7 days; fever over 3 days; or new symptoms. Severe sore throat or one lasting over 2 days with other symptoms needs prompt advice. Skin redness, blisters or rash require immediate medical help. Ask before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Keep away from children; suspected overdose needs immediate help even without symptoms.
Store at 20–25°C. Do not use damaged blisters. Read both full Drug Facts before use.
