Each caplet or gelcap contains acetaminophen 500 mg. This is a pain reliever and fever reducer, rather than an NSAID.

Uses

Temporarily relieves minor headache, toothache, backache, muscle aches, menstrual cramps, common-cold pain and minor arthritis pain; also reduces fever.

How to use

Adults and children ages 12 and older: take two caplets or gelcaps every six hours while symptoms last. Unless a doctor directs otherwise, do not exceed six in 24 hours or use for more than 10 days. Children under 12: ask a doctor. Follow the directions for the specific form supplied.

Important safety information

Excess acetaminophen can cause severe liver damage. Do not combine with another acetaminophen-containing medicine, including some cold-and-flu products. Ask a doctor before use if you have liver disease, and ask a doctor or pharmacist if taking warfarin. Drinking three or more alcoholic drinks daily while using this product increases liver risk. Stop use and seek medical help for a severe skin or allergic reaction.

Common question

What if symptoms continue or I accidentally take too much?

Consult a doctor if pain worsens or lasts over 10 days or fever worsens or lasts over three days. After an overdose, seek immediate medical help even if you feel well.
