Sea-Band Children's Acupressure Wristbands, one pair, use a plastic stud to press the P6 (Nei-Kuan) point on each wrist. A drug-free option for travel-related nausea; the bands are reusable and washable.
Position both bands correctly
Place three middle fingers across the inside of the wrist, with the third finger against the wrist crease.
Locate the point just below the index finger between the two central tendons.
Position the stud inward over this point and repeat on the other wrist.
Wear one band on each wrist, before or during travel.
Fit and comfort
The manufacturer describes use in children as young as 3; select the children's size and check that it fits snugly. An adult should help position the bands. Remove immediately if pressure causes pain.
Using alongside other care
Bands may interfere with catheters or blood-pressure equipment; ask a health professional if unsure. Persistent vomiting or inability to keep fluids down needs medical assessment.
