Robitussin Nighttime Cough DM, 4 fl oz, combines cough suppressant dextromethorphan with the antihistamine doxylamine for nighttime cough and runny-nose relief. This nighttime formula can cause marked drowsiness.
Directions
Use the supplied measuring cup and follow the dose on this bottle. Nighttime DM and Maximum Strength Nighttime DM can differ; do not substitute the daytime DM dose. This adult nighttime product is not intended for children under 12.
Drowsiness
Avoid alcohol and be careful with driving or operating machinery. Sedatives and tranquilizers increase drowsiness. Do not use solely to sedate a child.
Before use
Do not use with an MAOI or within two weeks after stopping one. Ask a clinician about a chronic cough, excess mucus, pregnancy, nursing or other medicines. Seek advice if cough persists beyond seven days, returns, or occurs with fever, rash or persistent headache. Ask first about glaucoma, trouble urinating or breathing problems.
Storage
Keep at room temperature as the label directs. Check the seal and expiry date, and store out of children's reach. Seek immediate help for suspected overdose.
