Vicks NyQuil Severe is a berry-flavored nighttime multi-symptom cold and flu liquid, 12 fl oz (354 mL). Doxylamine can cause marked drowsiness.
Active ingredients per 30 mL
Acetaminophen 650 mg: pain reliever and fever reducer.
Dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg: cough suppressant.
Doxylamine succinate 12.5 mg: antihistamine.
Phenylephrine HCl 10 mg: nasal decongestant.
Directions
Use only the supplied dose cup; do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
Adults and children 12 years and older: 30 mL every 4 hours.
Children 4 to under 12: ask a doctor. Children under 4: do not use.
Warnings
Contains acetaminophen. Do not combine with another acetaminophen-containing drug; overdose can cause severe liver damage.
Do not use with an MAOI or within 2 weeks after stopping one.
Marked drowsiness may occur. Avoid alcohol and do not drive or operate machinery. Sedatives and tranquilizers can increase drowsiness.
Ask a doctor before use with liver or heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma, urination problems, chronic cough or breathing problems; ask if taking warfarin.
Stop and seek advice if fever lasts over 3 days or pain, congestion or cough lasts over 7 days or worsens.
