What it is used for

Runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat caused by allergies.

How to use

Adults and children 6+: one 10 mg tablet daily, maximum one per 24 hours. A 5 mg product may suit milder symptoms. Adults 65+, children under 6, and people with liver or kidney disease: ask a doctor.

Before use

Do not use after an allergic reaction to this product, its ingredients, or hydroxyzine-containing antihistamines. Ask about sedatives or tranquilizers. Avoid alcohol, which can increase drowsiness; use caution when driving or operating machinery. Pregnancy: ask a health professional. Breastfeeding: the label does not recommend use. Stop and seek help for an allergic reaction.

Does all-day relief mean it cannot cause sleepiness?

No. Cetirizine can cause drowsiness, and alcohol or sedating medicines can make it stronger.
